Our location on South Cliff offers the perfect balance — a peaceful, sought‑after residential area, yet only moments from Scarborough Town Centre and all the delights this much‑loved seaside destination has to offer.

As a family‑run guesthouse, we are supported by a small, dedicated team — our cherished Carlton House Family. We care deeply about our guests and are always attentive to your needs. You are warmly encouraged to speak with us at any time; we are here to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
While Carlton House does not have its own dedicated car park, the surrounding streets offer convenient on‑street parking just a short stroll from the guesthouse.
For guests who plan to use their car during their stay, we are pleased to provide a complimentary parking disc. This allows up to 3 hours of free parking between 9am and 5pm, and on Sundays from 12 noon to 5pm. After the allotted time, you’ll simply need to move your vehicle. Parking is free overnight from 5pm to 9am.
If you prefer to settle in and explore the area on foot, a Parking Permit may be purchased. This allows you to leave your vehicle on the nearby streets for the full day without needing to move it. A minimum charge applies, and we’ll be happy to assist you with this on the day of your arrival.
Blue Badge Holders enjoy unrestricted parking in disc zones throughout the area, though please be aware that charges may still apply in car parks.
As devoted dog owners, we understand how truly special it is to bring every member of the family on holiday — especially your beloved dog. To ensure a seamless and comfortable stay, we have a thoughtfully crafted Dog Policy in place. Once you let us know your dog will be joining you, we will send the policy for your review. Your agreement can be returned to us by email or simply via text to 07862 136813.
For guests travelling with an additional dog, a nightly charge per dog applies. To maintain comfort for all our guests, we kindly allow a maximum of two dogs per room.
